There is a series of deckplans including the machinery spaces, for this ship in a book called Merchant Ships World Built 1962 (1961) Vol 10 published by Adlard Coles Limited. It would be nice if designers made an attempt to make today's ships look so nice. And then again, maybe cheap owners are the problem. As it happens, this one was scrapped when only 17 years old, in 1978, probably because of economic conditions. :http://www.miramarshipindex.org.nz/ship/show/254795
Built by Kockums M/V A/B, Malmo, for A/S Athene, Kristiansand
41,400 tons DWT, 699.5 feet loa, 97 feet wide, 33.66 draught, 12-cyl. M.A.N. diesel by Kockums 16,200 b.h.p., 17.25 knots.
Great photo. Evidently none too well taken care of, the only other photo I've been able to find shows her even more rusted.
