Description:
Seen here along the wall at Port Weller Dry Docks.The hull old hull was cut away just forward of the engine room accomadations area.The hull was considered no longer in a save condition to operate as a full ship.The ballast has been pumped forward here to keep the hull afloat for the scrap tow to International Marine Salvage of Port Colborne Ontario Canada.The ship is now the CSL LAURENTIEN sailing for the Canada Steamship Lines of Montreal Quebec.It is one of 4 Seaway Max self-discharging bulk carriers sailing for this fleet.....( this photo is a repost of the original witch was taken off and enhanced some what )**note the tip of the bow of the new ship can be seen just to the end of the stern of the old hull**

On another note, I am somewhat surprised she had kind of a bulbous bow, I see they got rid of that on the new hull.

Long time no talk bud, been extreemly busy have not had a chance to surf or post, but what a treat you had for me. Thanks for sharing these images of classic lakers. Happy easter.
