That is also my understanding of the situation although I am not familiar with the details. I think the Canadians have something similar to the U.S.' Jones Act so when the ship sails from port to port in the Canadian Arctic during the navigation season it must be flagged in Canada.

I think she is a special charter where she will sail under Canadian flag & local crew in the seasons she can navigate in the Arctic region. When there is too wintry she will sail worldwide under Dutch flag and with Spliethoff crew.

Thanks for the info, she just left the berth and is underway to drydock, shall try to make some pictures of her in dock tommorow!
