Description:

Caledonian MacBrayne's ferry [b]Muirneag[/b] at Stornoway on 23 March 2006. She maintains an overnight service to Ullapool for haulage vehicles only.
Muirneag ran aground at Stornoway in January 2005, after strong winds blew her away from the quayside. On 11 November 2005, Muirneag sailed into a force 12 hurricane in the Minch, and ended up 60 miles off course. The 3 hour crossing took 18 hours that day.
