Knut Helge,
Thank you for another run of very interesting pictures. Your eagerness to take pictures and share them is highly appreciated - especially since you seem to come across many LNG ships and VLCCs, which are my favourites. The correct name of the vessel in this picture is "Hellespont Prosperity". Details and pictures HERE and GA plan HERE. Hellespont is the ancient name of the Dardanelles, a long narrow strait dividing the Balkans (Europe) along the Gallipoli peninsula from Asia Anatolia (Asia Minor) - or so says Wikipedia. Hellespont is the prefix of all the vessels owned by Seatramp, Hellespont Hammonia and other companies controlled by Basil Papachristidis. Web site HERE. As most will know, they are known to be very focused on environmental protection and quality and their ships are white to reduce tank temperatures, thereby reducing boiloff. Best regards Mats Oslo |
