There are actually two New Bedford-MV boats: The Whaling City Express and the Martha's Vineyard Express both are recently built by Derektor. The Ocean State works the Providence to Newport run. All three are owned by the same guy, who is also the owner of the Provincetown II and III, and thus, my new boss. He's fantastic to work for and a really, really great businessman. Funny thing is, he lives in Mystic Connecticut while his boats and offices are in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Her fleetmate Ocean State is quite new too, the ferry they had before Ocean State was one ugly old boat. I just recently found out from Dan that the Ocean State works in Puerto Rico in the winter, the block island ferry Athena does also.
