Hi Hans

In view of the fact that this vessel is now a Dive Support Vessel its probably best if you move the photograph to the Special Purpose Ships Category - not too sure how it ended up in the Law Enforcement Category in the first place :-)

Hi Hans

Evidently she is now used as a 'Dive Boat' owned and skippered by George Mair of Gemmarine @
http://www.geministorm.co.uk/

This is the story from:
http://www.divemagazine.co.uk/news/article.asp?UAN=2476&v=5&sp=332204698505328574256

"In anticipation of more commercial projects, he bought Loyal Mediator, fitting her with a recompression chamber. For various reasons, those contracts fell through, but as a consequence, sport diving retained the services of a professional skipper, and a superb boat for expedition diving.

Loyal Mediator's usual berth is at Oban's North Pier, where you can bring cars right alongside the boat for loading. After a long drive, albeit through some of the most beautiful scenery, it was a welcome relief to be able to swing dive gear straight from boot to boat. While you're at sea, you can park for free in a car park at the other end of town, about ten minutes' walk away.

Spec:
Boat: 24m auxiliary fleet tender, built in 1978
Moored: Oban, Western Scotland
Cruising speed: ten knots
Head: one flush toilet, one electric marine head
Maximum passengers: 12
Shower: two, with plenty of hot water
Optimum passengers: 12 as dayboat, eight living on board
Compressor: free air on board
Cabins: eight-berth bunkroom, two two-berth cabins
Charter rate: £65 to £85 full board per person, per day, depending on destination "
