Description:
The Canadian spud barge Miller 207, operated by JMM Construction, of Delta, British Columbia, is seen towed by the tug Neva Straits into Vancouver harbour. She was deployed to the new waterfront convention centre, where she held the heavy-lift vessel Arctic Tuk in position while placing a concrete walkway between the convention centre and Canada Place. The 3 poles on the barge (called 'spuds') can be lowered by hydraulic winches to provide an anchoring system.
