She is indeed the MARIA ASUMPTA. She met her fate when running onto the rocks at Rumps Point near Padstow, Cornwall on May 31, 1995. MARIA ASUMPTA got smashed to pieces within minutes, three of her crew perished.

It happened that people were on the cliffs right above the point where MARIA hit the rocks. One of them took excellent pictures from the time she neared the rocks until nothing more than floating debris was left of her. These pictures later were published in a magazine (forgot which one).
MARIA ASUMPTA ex CIUDAD DE INCA ex PEPITA ex MARIA ASUMPTA was registered in London, flying the Red Ensign.
