USS KAUFFMAN is the 28th "long hull" - version in the OLIVER HAZARD PERRY class and she is one of the last frigates of the Navy built in the 20th century.

I had read that the Perry class frigates were to have the SM-1MR launchers removed, and it seems to be true. Two triple tube torpedo launchers, a 76mm OTO cannon, a Vulcan CIWS and a helicopter seem a bit weak for the size of the ship.
