Description:
On Friday the 18 th of May, a fire broke in the engine room of the general cargo ship Umiavut. The crew stopped the fire. The ship was towed to the port of Brest (France) by the tug Abeille Bourbon. Umiavut left Kalundborg (Denmark) and was on her way to La Corogne (Spain), with 8 600 tons of flour.
Umiavut is one of the two Inuit ships, with Avik, which are usually transporting goods between the Saint Laurent harbours and the Arctic canadian area.
