Yes, MARCO POLO is a favorite of mine too. But I wonder who bought the ship? Sometimes I hope for some Florida or NY based outfit to buy one of the old classics. SAGA ROSE, my absolute favorite!

SAGA ROSE looks great though I've only been on RUBY. But I am determined to visit ROSE once before she is retired in 2010.

I am well under 50 though, so MARCO POLO is better for obvious reasons :) .

I haven't a clue who bought her. I was hoping it would be Voyages of Discovery but it's not them. Nobody I know can find out anything about the ship or for that matter the future of the Orient Lines brand after the ship leaves. NCL is silent at the moment and nobody else knows anything.

It is all very odd really.

On my blog you can read more of my thoughts about this.

You're very welcome. Yes, it was a great trip. Unfortunately MARCO POLO (my new favorite ship) was sold the day after I returned. (Don't know who to yet.)

PACIFIC is a great looking ship isn't she? (I hadn't seen her since she was PACIFIC PRINCESS, doing her Bermuda runs, which I'm sorry I never got the chance to take.) She was the second best looking ship in Civitavecchia after "my" MARCO POLO :-D .
