Great wreck. Looks vaguely like TwinTube here in New York although different as well, and TT is still running. No need to break this up is there? Its on its way to returning to the elements.

I looked at a 36 year old M V U S.Only thing close is ACTION #229676 ...a 59 ft. wooden "yacht" owned by John Desmond of Boston. Built 1930 @ Greenport,N Y. Former name was ALPHA but that would be covered by name board so no ghosting thru of old letters to confuse things. Also the vessel does not look like it was converted to yacht status....so i would say its still a mystery.

Heh, I've seen it for years as well, as its right in front of my Chelsea yard. I have no clue what the story is on it. I asked one of my captains years ago when I was a young and foolish deckhand and he said that it was the remains of a vessel run aground by a deckhand that didnt listen to his captain.

Amazing that this thing is right in the open in the city. I have no idea what her name is, but here is a shot I took when first discovered her: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rob-bellinger/251598289/
