The ferry Jet Express III departs Sandusky, Ohio on Lake Erie for Put-In-Bay on South Bass Island, one of a handful of islands a few miles off the shore and which are very popular vacation spots during the summer. The Jet Express III has a capacity of 70 passengers, was built in 2001, is 78 feet, 2 inches long and 27 feet, 6 inches wide. The fast catamrtan is owned by Put-In-Bay Boat Line of Port Clinton, Ohio.
