Charles,

She was 411.508 dwt, delivered from Hitachi Zosen (now Universal Shipbuilding), Ariaka, Japan in November 1977. Her dimensions were:

LOA: 362.01 m
B: 70.03 m
D: 28.12 m
Dr: 22.34 m
GT: 199,172
NT: 158,649

She was sold to Vela Internatonal (Saudi Aramco) in May 1992, and became "Media Star". You can find pictures of her at supertankers.topcities.com, which is the web page of my friend Auke Wisser.

"Media Star" was delivered to shipbreakers on 8 November 2002.

By the way, she had three sisterships. One was "Esso Japan", which became "Safer in 1986. She was converted into an FSO (floating storage vessel) at Hyundai in Korea and has since then served as an oil export terminal off the coast of Yemen. She's still there.

The other sister was "Esso Tokyo", which became "Red Seagull" in 1985 and later "Olympia Spirit" in 2000. She was demolished in May 2003.

Best regards
