Hi Nils
Splendid set of Hansa ships, brought back many memories seeing them in India.

I agree this one is Rheinfels (V) brought by Hansa in 1956. ex Alchiba-56, Frans Hal-46, Empire Rennie-42,
Blt 1941, C Connell Glasgow Yard No. 435.

Rheinfels (IV)blt. 1943 wrecked 1945. salvaged and allocated to Russia rn Admiral Nachimov-47, Kosciuszko- (POL)

details frm DDG Hansa (WSS 1967), Talbot-Booth 1967

Nils,
I think the "Rheinfels"in your photo is the one built by Charles Connell & Co, Glasgow, in 1941 as "Empire Rennie". In 1942 she became "Frans Hals" under the Dutch flag, in 1946 "Alchiba" and was purchased by HANSA in 1956 being renamed "Rheinfels". In 1968 she became "Peramataris", was laid up in 1975 with fire damage and was broken up at Piraeus in 1979.
