From what I know, she was taken out of the Reserve Fleet last year and towed to the Colonna Shipyard in Norfolk to have work done on her (maintenance?).
Last month when I went to Norfolk, she was at Newport News alongside the RDF and RRF ships which are almost a permanent fixture there.
On May 31, she was towed to the BAE Systems yard in Norfolk where I took this view.
SAVANNAH is to have her nuclear reactor components removed and to be refurbished into a museum ship as she is a National Historical Landmark. Where she is to as such I have no clue at present.
