This vessel, m/v COSCO QINGDAO, was build in 1997 at Kawasaki Heavy Industries as m/v YUN HE.
She was renamed in 2001 into COSCO QINGDAO.
She was one of the first Post-Panamax vessels which sailed to Northern Europe in 1997, because all her 5 sistervessels, LU HE, WAN HE, YUE HE, CHUAN HE, JIN HE, were in PACIFIC trade.
