On 10/03/2019 at 19:00 UTC with 26 crew and one passenger on board, was transiting the Bay of Biscay en route from Germany to Morocco. At 140 nm SW of Penmarch, France when fire in one of the containers stowed on the weather deck was noted.
With wind reported to be fanning the flames and the fire continuing to spead, the Master halted the vessel’s passage and informed the authorities at 0100 hours UTC of his decision to order the vessel be abandoned. The crew were later picked up from their lifeboat by the Royal Navy frigate HMS Argyll which had been diverted to the area.
On 11/03/2019 Sank at 1526 hours at a water depth of 4,600 metres some 140 miles SW of Brest, French.
