Very interesting photo, I did just note, the bow does look rather strange, and does this have a reason ? regards from Switzerland :-)

Yeah it does. I think it makes the sailing in ice easier, and also affects breaking the waves I guess. If I find better info, will correct my answer.

Oh, so many thanks to you, I´m honoured. :-) These GRACHTs have actually always been very special vessels for me, have followed their fleet together with my father since the childhood days. It´s super they still have the contracts with Finnish forest industries, and some other Finland calls are just occasional. :pint:
