Description:

HMS Exeter moored alongside museum ship HMS Belfast whilst on a courtesy visit to London. Seen from outside the Tower of London.

HMS Exeter is one of only two Royal Navy ships still active which served during the Falklands conflict in 1982. At the time of this photo the crew embarked were actually that of HMS Edinburgh as part of the "sea swapping" trial.

HMS Belfast is a Town Class Cruiser and veteran of the Normandy landings, she also served in Korea before becoming a museum ship on the Thames in 1971.
