Description:

The CSL Niagara hass departing from Lock 4 downbound on the Welland Canal and is lining up to pass under a highway lift bridge. High above it in Lock 6 is the Peter D. Leitch which has begun its descent as the lock is emptied. July 15, 2007.

Thanks for your comment -- I appreciate it! As you all too well know, there are only a few spots, at least in today's increasingly security minded Welland Canal, where you can get good photos of the ships in full length in the morning sun. I opted for the sun shots rather than the lockside shots which I took mostly during the cloudy periods.
