25 December 2017: Grounding at Ravelseidet
The "Eidholm" ran aground at the Ravelseidet in Nordreisa on Dec 25, 2017, at 10.58 p.m. The vessel got stuck on a sandy bottom, and there was no damage to the hull. The ship had sailed from Tromsö-Breivika to fishfarms in the morning of Dec 24. The crew was waiting for a higher water level to get the ship off again, which succeeded on Dec 26 at 2.30 a.m., and sailed on with own power.
