She came out to Australia in 1988 for the Australian Bi-Centenary Tall Ships Race.

She didn't come out for the 1998 event and the talk of an event next year has gone very quiet and I have my doubts as to it actualy going ahead.

The 2004 event was canned as New Zealand pulled out their funding, that race was meant to be Sydney to Hobart, Hobart to Wellington I think, and Weillington to Sydney.

The enourmous cost to stage these events, I have me doubts with the current political tensions around the world that we will see a Tall Ships event in Australia again.
