Description:
The 1980 Warnowwerft built SLOVENIJA is seen passing Port Tewfik southbound in the Suez Canal on 23rd June 1995
Delivered to Jugolinija, she retained her name on transfer to Croatia Line in the early 1990's
After a short period of lay up at Zadar towards the end of 1999, she was towed to Aliaga, where she arrived on 29.12.99, for breaking

INDEED SHE WAS ONLY 20 YEARS OLD WHEN SCRAPPED, I SUPPOSE MAINLY DUE TO ENGINE PROBLEMS?
HOWEVER THE RAPID CONTAINERISATION OF WORLDWIDE LINER TRADES SINCE THE MID-1990'S MAY HAVE BEEN A CONTRIBUTORY FACTOR IN MAKING THE DECISION TO SCRAP INSTEAD OF REPAIR?
