She was completed by the Greenock Dockyard in 1950 as CLAN SHAW and later transferred to British and Commonwealth's South African subsidiary becoming STEENBOK.
She then went to the then South African Marine Corporation as SOUTH AFRICAN SEAFARER and I took this in Glasgow's Queens Dock in 1965.
In 1966 as SA SEAFARER in the restyled Safmarine, she grounded off the South African coast and became a total loss.
