Rebuilt 1972 in Greece to a ro-ro pass. ferry (946 pass., 470 cars). 14.941 grt. 1953 CITY OF YORK (Ellerman Lines, London, England). 1972 MEDITERRANEAN SKY (Karageorgis Lines, Piraeus, Greece), route Patras (Greece) - Ancona (Italy). 1994 Karageorgis ceased operations. Ship has since been chartered out. 1999 laid-up in Eleusis Bay. 2002 capsized and sank. Sister ship: MEDITERRANEAN SEA, ex-CITY OF EXETER.
