Description:

This vessel is one of my favourites.She was employed en route Ploce - Makarska and have travelled aboard her numerous times from Trpanj to Igrane. From archives of Neven Jerkovic. Thank you Anton Heuff for adding the info below. Marijan Zuvic has posted great serie of her on http://riversea.tugtalk.co.uk/index.htm and i hope he does not mind me adding his details to this posting.

Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino Trieste (382) as BRIONI for Gutsdirektion der Brionischen Insel, Pola
Claimed to be the very first passenger motorship in the world.
Engined with Grazer Wagon und Maschinenfabriks A.G., Graz
1919 Amministrazioni Beni Isole Brioni, Brioni, later Azienda Patrimoniale dello Stato, Brioni
1940 On June 22nd taken over by Italian Navy and on September 8, 1943 by German Kriegsmarine
1945 Declared Yugoslavian war prize and put under control of Središnjica za Plovidbu, Rijeka as REČINA
1947 Jadranska Linijska Plovidba (Jadrolinija), Rijeka
1968 Sold private owners and at Zadar converted to the floating restaurant MARE NOSTRUM
1972 ZD 3 LIDO Ivo Morić, Zadar
1987 At the end of October superstructure broken up while being berthed at Uvala Fratrov Jaz, Puntamika, Zadar. Bare hull scrapped in April 1988.

Thanks, Vedran. This is ex-Brioni (built 1907). Jadrolinija sold her in 1970 (?), then she was used as floating restaurant
