|The Clinton moves downstream on the lower Detroit River near where the river flows into Lake Erie on August 11, 2007. The Clinton is an excursion vessel with an educational mission: it specializes in tours of the lower river with lectures on ecology, water quality, etc and lets its passengers test water quality, etc. Kind of a neat idea as it is a step above some of the mind numbing narration one finds on some excursions (during the 4 hour cruise I was on I was subjected to the moronic comments by a self appointed expert who wanted to listen to himself talk -- and the more beer he drank the more he talked and the less sense he made).
The Clinton operates out of Lake Erie Metropark south of Trenton, Michigan several miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
