With a name sounding more like a jazz group rather than a car and passenger ferry, the Canadian flagged Ste. Claire V crosses the Amherstburg channel of the Detroit River from Amherstburg, Ontario to Boblo Island. Typical of many ferries that operate across short distances throughout the Great Lakes Region, the Ste. Claire V was built in 1997 and is owned and operated by the Amherstburg Ferry Co. August 11, 2007.
