Description:

The green hulled Bluebill has been relieved of its cargo while docked at the Toledo, Ohio Port Authority complex on the Maumee River, a tributary to Lake Erie. Late afternoon, August 14, 2007. The paint on the Bluebill's hull is not what I would expect on a ship built in 2004.
Chartered by Canadian Forest Products, Ltd. which names most of its charters after ducks. Having received one of my college degrees from a large state university that has a duck as its mascot/symbol (the Oregon Ducks), I find CanForNav's practice of naming ships quite acceptable. The Bluebill is owned by Navarone SA Marine Enterprises of Limassol, Cyprus.

Great shot, just missed this one myself in the middle of the North Sea recently! Not quick enough off the mark!

Thanks Derek! It is in a hard to photograph area on both sides of the river. Time to invest in a boat or scuba gear! Several ships this summer are bringing to Toledo large amounts of good sized pipe.
Must be a large pipeline project somewhere -- the pipe is being loaded on flatcars for delivery by rail somewhere. It is also a "coal to Newcastle" type of thing.
