U.S. Coast Guard 24521 waits between missions at the Marblehead, Ohio Coast Guard Station. Behind it is the Great Lakes bulker Maumee loading crushed dolomite. During the summer months the Marblehead Coast Guard station is hard put to safety - and sometimes peace - with thousands of recreational craft in this portion of Lake Erie and especially at nearby Kellys Island a nearby recreational (read party island)area that is extremely popular in summer months.
