Description:
O.M. Thore's Swedish-flag general cargo ship VICTORIA as shown while upbound on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères in May 1964.
She originally started life in 1930 as VASAHOLM for Svenka Amerika and was acquired by Thore in 1954. She left Swedish registry in 1965 and went Greek first as STAVROS (S.A. Daifas) and then as PRIAMOS in 1967 (Kostogiannis) before finally being sent to the breakers at Istanbul in March 1973 after a career spanning 43 years. Those were the days!!!
