This strange animal is certainly meant to lift heavy pieces, but it is not a "heavy lift vessel". This is called a floating sheerlegs (she is classed as 'crane vessel' by Norske Veritas), and there is a spacial category for this kind of vessel here on Shipspotting. It's interesting to see such a vessel here with her legs folded down when the job is done!
