Description:

She seems to be a replica of U571 for a US-film. The film based on the capture of U 119 and U 505 in WW II, but it is totally fictive.

The Real U 571 (Type VII C, built in 1940/41 by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg)
was sunk on 28.011944 west of Ireland by an Australian Short Sunderland Hydroplane by bombs.
It was her eleventh "Feindfahrt". All 52 men died.
