Most converted offshore supply vessels have large ballast tanks capacities which are often used as extra fuel storage tanks. Can someone give me the capacities of the vessel's ballast tanks?

@mcgovern61. As a former crew member, can you help here?

BTW, we nicknamed her the "Rough Ride" since she really slammed hard in any kind of weather. Worst weather we were in was 30' seas 80 miles off the New Jersey coast and that boat took a beating, water came in places you would least expect! I have photographs of her as a clam dredge/ processor, but they would have to be scanned.

She was a fishing vessel from 1988 to I believe 1990 or 1991. More specifically, she was an offshore clamming dredge and the first clam factory processor that caught, shucked, steamed and chilled clams right onboard. I worked on her in 1989 and was on her first trips as a processor.

Its owned technically by Thames Waterfront Construction Co. an offshoot of Thames Shipyard and Repair Co. which is a sister company to Cross Sound Ferry (New London to Orient Point, NY.) Last I checked when I worked for Thames Shipyard is it a joint venture between a family named Bartlett and the owners of Cross Sound Ferry and Thames Shipyard the Wronowski family they use it for construction mostly piling construction or reconstruction. It's soon be decommissioned due to old age though, she only has one working main engine with no plans to replace the bad one.

It seems despite the plans to decommission, she is still hanging on to life. She was underway out on the river on Monday, in fact.

Built for Tidewater Marine and served in their fleet from 1965-1985.

I think that the "T" painted on the stack may be the original Tidewater logo left over from the previous owner.

Built in 1965 at American Marine in New Orleans, LA; Hull No. 915

More than likely a supply boat that has been used in the fishing industry after her use in the offshore industry.
