Description:
The Romanian Government ("NAVROM") owned TIMISOARA was built at Galati in 1961 and had many sisterships.

She is seen passing Eastham in about 1977 bound for the Manchester Ship Canal.

She lasted until late 1990 when she arrived at Aliaga for breaking.

Excelent photo! Congratulations!
"Timisoara" was laid up in Galatz, on Danube, at the end of the 80's.
Was sold in 1990, together with other sisterships to Aliaga. She arrived at Aliaga in tow, from Galati at the end of 1990.
Other sisterships built for Navrom: Galati, Braila, Victoria, Suceava, Brasov, Bacau, Cluj, Deva, Baia Mare, Oradea, Sibiu, Ilia, Iasi, Craiova, Tirgoviste, Tirgu Mures, Vaslui.
From all of them, seems just Brasov remains alive, under the name: Al Bahr Al Sabah.
