Great shot Ashley although it was not a great day.
Got an idea you and I were on the pier at the same time! Got a glimpse of some one running off the pier to catch her again in the harbour. Take it that was you!

Derek

Hi Derek,

Yes when I left that morning it was clear, when i got to Felixstowe I saw rather disappointed. I saw an outline of the Patricia sail past at about 8:30, impossible to photograph. Then it started to lift a bit. As you say, not the best day for photography but far better than i originally thought it would be; so not a wasted journey after all.
After lunch I drove round to Harwich. I kept an eye open for you based on your pic uploaded on here but didn't see you! Yes that was probably me you saw running off the pier, jumped in the car and drove round to the other pier opposite Languard Point. No good for photos though - I wasn't quick enough but it was nice to watch her sail out. Hopefully one day our paths will cross

Best Regards
Ashley

Hi Ashley,

I am in disguise some of the time! If I am cycling I tend to wear a baseball cap, and sunglasses if the sun is out! Most people don't recognise me at all.
If I am on the motorbike it's a full face crash helmet!
regards
Derek
