Description:

Entering Portsmouth harbour. 19/10/07

HMS Manchester (D95)

Manchester was on a six-month deployment to the Caribbean, mainly on counter-drug operations and a display of security to Britain's Overseas Territories in the region. This deployment ended in December 2003 and culminated in a £19 million drug bust.
Her nickname is the "Busy Bee", from the bee emblem on the ship's crest. This emblem is taken from the crest of the city of Manchester and is also depicted in local industry, such as the Strangeways Brewery of Boddingtons.
