Hello Tomas and Luis,

The correct spelling of her name is KUBLAI'S KAHN II (or 2):
http://www.weltsichten.de/dschunke/

In her homepage her name is KUBLAIS KAHN II but my close-up picture shows her name as above.

The Germans Axel Brümmer and Peter Glöckner have started their adventurous journey on bikes from Germany to China in spring 2001 following the traces of Marco Polo.

Their intention was to make a return voyage to Germany in a junk. For this they have acquired a Hong Kong built junk which they named KUBLAI’S KAHN which is a game of words from "Dschingis Khan" and "Kublai’s (emperor’s) boat" (Kahn is a Northern / Eastern German term for boats or barges). On their way from Goa to Singapore KUBLA’S KAHN sank in a cyclone on May 18th 2003, all the pumps finally failed to work.

They found a replacement on the island of Timor, an Indonesian pinisi which they got transformed into a Chinese junk. KUBLAI'S KAHN II was ready for sail on December 23rd, 2003. On that day they left Makassar for a journey to Hong Kong via Malaysia and the Philippines. Finally in 2006 KUBLAI'S KAHN arrived in Germany.

Regards,
Werner
