HMCS Micmac DD (R10)/DD/DDE (214),Tribal Class Fleet Destroyer conversion to DDE backing down from alongside HMC Dockyard,Halifax,Nova Scotia May 1960.
Built at Halifax Shipyards,launched Sept.1943.
One of eight Tribal Class destroyers commissioned in RCN.One,the First Athabaskan was War Loss.These ships served well into the 1960's,with Micmac paying off Mar.1964. A remaining example,HMCS Haida DDE 215 ,is preserved at Hamilton,Ontario.
