Description:

HMCS Haida DD/DDE 215 Tribal Class Fleet destroyer converted to DDE post war.Built Vickers-Armstrongs,U.K.,commissioned Sept 1943.
Served in the European Theatre during WW2 and later in the Korean War.
Displacement:2,800 tons f.l.;LOA 377 ft;beam 37.5 ft;draught 15ft.
Armament (as shown) 4 X 4in; 2 X 3in 50cal;4 X 40mm; 4 X 21 in TT;
2 X ATW( Squid).
Machinery:Parsons geared turbines,44,000 SHP-36.5 knots.
Complement: 240.
Shown at HMC Dockyard,Halifax, May 1960.
Haida is preserved at Hamilton,Ontario in her Korean War configuration.
