169, ex KM-1069, ex MRTK-1069 built 1982, Sosnovskiy Sudostroitelnyy Zavod - Sosnovka. Reg port Klaipeda, 120gt, 25.5m loa with LR/IMO No 8925517. Similar type to Darius (MRTK)
Kobrin (no previous names) another Alpinist type stern trawler (53.73m loa),built 1989, Yaroslavskiy Sudostroitelnyy Zavod - Yaroslavl with LR/IMO No 8730118 reg Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
According to Greenpeace, another of the so called 'Pirate Ships' - Russian owned trawlers fishing unregulated.

The small trawler on the far left is the Darius, built 1993, OAO Sosnovskiy Sudostroitelnyy Zavod - Sosnovka. Reg port Klaipeda, 117gt, 25.5m loa with LR/IMO No 9100956. I'm not sure of the type but there were obviously a large number of these small stern trawlers built over a number of years. The larger vessels are, as far as I can tell, Alpinist type stern trawlers (53.74m loa) with the name on the blue vessel apparantly Granat? If so, built 1990, Zavod 'Leninskaya Kuznitsa' - Kiyev with LR/IMO No 8826266 reg Portsmouth, Dominica. I have a note that Granat was one of Greenpeace's so called "Pirate" ships fishing unregulated. Perhaps it is her then, laid up with a sister ship in Klaipeda. Would be interested to see a closer shot of both these vessels to get confirmation of names! Hope you can find some more interesting shots from Klaipeda to post - thanks!!

You are right - green vessel is Darius, and blue larger is Granat. But I don't know names of two other ships. I'll try to ask for locals.

I see that you are a new member so would make these suggestions:
1. Please take some time to read through the FAQ's which can be accessed from the left hand side of the Sites Home Page.
2. Instructions upon what information should be shown and where that detail should be inputted when you upload photographs is also covered.
3. In the case of this photograph you haven't named the vessels - can you please amend this, or if you don't know the names of the vessels then the photograph should be moved to the MYSTERY SHIP CATEGORY.
If you would like to discuss the above comments please contact me and I'll try and help you.
