HMCS Columbia DDE 260 in the Bedford Basin,Halifax,Nova Scotia July 1961. One of seven Restigouche Class DDEs built in the mid 50s.Columbia built at Burrard Dry Dock Ltd.,Vancouver,B.C.
Displacement:2,366/2,900 tons.
LOA 366 ft; beam 42 ft;draught 13.5 ft.
Machinery:Geared steam turbines,30,000 SHP,29 kts.
Armament: 2 X 3"70cal;2 X 3"50cal;2 X ATH Limbo Mk10;2 Y gun H.Torp launchers.
Crew:210.
