Yes, I bet it was different, I was then at - I think Drapetsona is the place, where ferries were laid up, and I have more pictures of this. I saw the "Media" V in rust and yellow, and after I left back home, I saw pictures of it on faktaomfartyg in bright green. Things change quickly, and I should perhaps upload more photos from Greece, I just didn't do so, yet :-) Thanks for sharing your thoughts and thanks for kind comment !
It was a quick meeting with two Greek guys and one of them was working onboard the old ex. "Fichtelberg" nowadays "Archangelos", and from there I did take the photo
.

I've also been aboard the Archagelos with Apostolos, he now works on NEL's Mytilene as the 2nd Officer. So you see, we have the same friends! 8-)

Brgds,
Aleksi

Hi Cornelia,

This unusual view brings back pleasant memories for me also. The gallery of ships at these quays was quite different in September, when I was there, so after all, maybe many of these have been taken to use after this "hibernation"...

Jukka

If I remember right, the Diagoras is in the background there, but I do not know any of the other ships which are laid up there. It was a quick meeting with two Greek guys and one of them was working onboard the old ex. "Fichtelberg" nowadays "Archangelos", and from there I did take the photo. A bit more right, this one here was laid up:

Cornelia, wow, a great shot from one of my favorite spots!! :-) This is a great view as you can see both the quays at the same time! The large sailing vessel is something I've never seen in that quay, quite odd.

Some of the vessels which I could identify: Kleio, Agios Nektarios Aeginas, Mytilene, Duchess M, Ierapetra L. Do you remember what some of the others might be?

Cheers,
Aleksi
