Launched 7 July 1943 at New Orleans, LA, by the Delta SBCo. as *John Stagg,* hull no. 67, for the War Shipping Administration, Washington, DC, a Z-ET1-S-C3 Liberty ship tanker, managed by Bernuth-Lubcke Co., New York. 422.8 x 57 x 34.8; 7176 gt, 4380 nt; triple expansion steam engine, 24.5-37-70 x 48, 2500-ihp, built by American SBCo., Lorain.
Later *Takoil* ((1950). Converted to a general cargo ship and lengthened 1954-55: 5116 x 57 x 262.75; 8513 gt, 5696 nt. Later *National Servant* (1954) and *Yiannina* (1961). Broken up at Hirao 1968.
