If you are George Bush junior you might get into peterson paperfactory. If you are ME, 1.91, 100 kg(yes....) heavy, not at all that good-looking, you dont. i accept that. But i dont give up! Have had this time on my hand lately, due to major back and... Hm.. Rectal-problems. Nothing critcal, but painful, yes.
So i went on some trips. On this occation, i got to shoot both the Grietje and the Fairlane. Happyhappy! But access to shoot the lysvik? Not.
Found this very nice place, where trucks are beeing loaded with paper-rolls. No german sheperds, no pitbulls. A ok view.

I have sailed on many lysline ships. I come from drogheda in ireland and 2 of these ships call here on a weekly basis from the 1980's Lysvik, bris and blink are 3 sister vessels. Lysfoss, skog and tind are 3 similar sister vessels. They are the most bueatiful ships and very clean and the interior inside is like a real cruise ship.

I'm passed my second cup of coffee today already.
No more today, you know how it is at our age: high blood pressure, cardiac problems and so on :-D

And thanks for the info/link!
Tomas Østberg- Jacobsen on Jan 10, 2008 10:54 (10 years ago)
Yes, welcome to the oldtimers cafe. Bring on your problems and a cooffe, and lets go bananas, hehe! Well, yes, they are sisters, have a look here, for a good amount of info.

Hey, this is shipspotting, not "Old-Geezers-Discussing-Their-Ill-Health"

Just kidding...

Nice catch, Tomas. Do you happen to know if LYSBRIS
and Lysvik are sisters?
I spotted Lysbris here in Hamburg some time ago.
Tomas Østberg- Jacobsen on Jan 10, 2008 10:05 (10 years ago)
Yeah, but you know me, pessimistic untill the end, when i surely will go bananas and become so positive it will kill me, hehe!
Cornelia Klier on Jan 09, 2008 21:41 (10 years ago)
And then there is the doctors and hospital staff of course, and for them it's all everyday-business, just one more case that needs fixing :-)
Tomas Østberg- Jacobsen on Jan 08, 2008 21:23 (10 years ago)
Ah jesus, then i would have been seriously pissed. I can see you and the tubes: Youtube bouncing around. You should have seen me when my dear liverpool won the cup in turkey. Oh my lord.

Well, i hope for a new horror-appointment monday..

Hi Tomas

It's a funny old world...........4 years ago I was in for a gall bladder op. The last thing I remember was discussing with the anaesthetist how lucky it was just a key hole job and not the full Monty. Count one, two, three........... I awoke 4 hours later with tubes sticking out of EVERY bodily orifice and an epidural. They had tried the key hole job - it didn't work (somebody or other's syndrome) so I then had the 8" slice.
Funny thing was, the following day England were playing in the rugby World Cup Final and I nearly disconnected every tube when Jonny Wilkinson kicked the winner in the last minute.

Another odd thing is that in UK there are such long waiting lists that you can sometimes get into a private hospital on the NHS, as happened with me, with the same surgeon etc. (don't ask me how it works its bloody odd) but I had a private ward, satellite TV and a menu every meal with a wine list - some bloody use that was..............

all the best for 2008 and with your op........I hope the surgeon's hands/wrists etc. recover and are steady when the cut begins........... !!!!!

Tomas Østberg- Jacobsen on Jan 08, 2008 15:16 (10 years ago)
Yeah, a ton of toiletpaper at once. The "funny" thing is that today i was due for the last operation, and the surgeon fell on the ice, so he is on a sickleave. Hm..

All the best to you too amigo!

Hi Tomas

The thing is.....if they know of your rectal problems and the paper rolls they are loading are toilet rolls, they may think you are going to hijack them............its all a pain in the ass really

all the best fro 2008
