Thanx for the info. How could i be so stupid. Do you know if the small bunkertanker strombus is owned by the same company?
sorry, again.

Yeah, saw that. Remember i posted a comment on a ship once, and ianother member wrote the exact same thing, at the same time. Strange coincidence!
Very nice vessel, this one.

Off to stavanger in a couple of hours. 12 hours on a train.

Hi Tomas

Now how's that for a coincedence - you post your photograph more or less at the same time as Sydney from Scotland - his shot was of the vessel in Lerwick. Nice to see both photographs side by side on the site

Hi Ghatzen
This vessel is not owned by same company as
HG 265 "Strømfjord"
HG 266 "Strømness"
HG 267 "Strømegg"

The owner of HG 263 "Sromboli" had another vessel for many years with that name. As I remember this vessel was former swedish and named "Stromboli" back in Sweden. The danish owner reused that name and chose it again, when he bougth this vessel...which is the former HG 264 "Ruth".

Ole.

Thanks Geert, and all the best in 2008 for you, too.
But, alas or luckily(?), no snow in Hamburg so far this winter.

Hello sir! Thank you very much, and the same to you, hope to see more of your high-end shots. I allways get happy when i see ZAPPA is online.
Jens Boldt on Jan 10, 2008 10:50 (9 years ago)
Your right, I think I'll have to hurry meanwhile. APL Iolite is due at 13.00 hours. Here, too, time flies while having a pleasant chat. :-)
Geert van Kesteren on Jan 10, 2008 10:44 (9 years ago)
Nice picture Thomas.
Happy Newyour for both of you up there in the snow...
best regards

What are you waiting for? I just read the weather forecast for stavanger-region. Storm, and massive amounts of rain. I dont mind, hehe!
Maersk flensburg is there. And i LIKE 168' ers.

Then let the shutter catch fire! :-D

When I'm out with the camera I tend to blank out most things going on around me and problems bothering me. Then time really flies.
As you say, very relaxing and a most pleasant feeling.
I think I'll be off to the harbour soon. Got out of bed at 10 this morning and guess what: It's bright and sunny here today :-)

Yeah, i forgot all about the culture-thing. I am just going on a trip, after having back-problems again, and you know me, i am going to shoot everything thats shootable, waiting for the the deletion-reaper, hehe! No. there are some very cool vessels in stavanger now, and i have gotten access to most ports. Nice!
But really its just a mental-thing. I relax the most, away on expeditions.

Off to Stavanger tonight?
What's happening there?
Lately I saw a report about Stavanger being European Capital of Culture 2008. A lot of things going on there this year.
AND I believe I heard somewhere that QE2 is calling at Stavanger this year. 8-)

Hehe-- Well, strange that that company uses that name. They have a few starting with strom, you know. Stromboli is one cool volcano, saw a documentary on national geographics about... Her, and the fish living by her.
Check it out if you have the chance.

And yep, pretty cool this one.

Tomas, off to stavanger in 10 hours.

I was wrong about the fact that she is owned byy the owners of other strom-vessels. They have the name STRØM, so sorry. Read post above.

You got some nice fishing vessels there up north.
Stromboli... hope the light beneath the funnel doesn't indicate that she's going to erupt! :-D
