Description:
US Navy (MSC-operated) missile range instrumentation ship RANGE SENTINEL (T-AGM-22) as shown while anchored off Staten Island on July 4, 1986 during the Statue of Liberty 100th anniversary weekend.
Built in 1944 as the Victory-type attack transport SHELBRUNE (APA-205) for the US Navy, she was converted to an AGM in 1969-71.
