St Laurent Class destroyer escort (helicopter),HMCS Ottawa DDH 229 at anchor in the Bedford Basin,Halifax for the 1985 NATO Naval Review. Ottawa launched at Canadian Vickers in 1953 as DDE,reconfigured mid 1960s to DDH with provision for CH124 Sea King helicopter,flight deck,helo-hauldown system,hanger,stabilizers and variable depth sonar.
